The Retreat at Little Oaks
Sauna and Ice Bath
Our business is a Wellness, Rest and Relaxation Retreat, named The Retreat at Little Oaks. Little Oaks is our house name, based in approximately 1 acre, with half of it being woodland.
The Wellness services include Pilates, Structural Integration, Myofscial Release, Sports Massage and Cranial Sacral and Scar WorkTherapy. We hope to offer more therapies by bringing in suitably-qualified therapists such as meditation, sound baths, gong baths and reiki. I also intend to run specialist workshops in women’s health such as pelvic floor, stress management, pre and post-natal care and infant massage.
Hot Tub
The rest and relaxation aspect of the business is represented by our heated outdoor swimming pool (not heated Autumn or Spring), sauna, ice-bath, patio area with loungers, day bed, a kitchen area with pizza oven and BBQ and a gazebo bar and lounge/dining area, selling alcohol as well as teas and coffees and healthy drinks and food.
As some of the retreats we intend to run would last for more than one day, we hope to offer, subject to planning permission, four different accommodations:
- A wheelchair-accessible shepherds hut, and in our woodland:
- A wooden camping pod
- A wooden Camping Barrel
- And a wooden Camping Wigwam
